THE TRUE FACE OF A SO-CALLED "DEMOCRACY"

“Israel’s relationship with the United States is unique in a number of ways. And one of those ways is that essentially the United States provides 20% of the Israeli military budget on an annual basis, and then about 70% of that money that is given from the United States, from U.S. taxpayers, to Israel is then spent on weapons from Lockheed Martin and Boeing and Raytheon. Most other countries don’t have that sort of cash relationship, where they go straight to U.S. corporations with U.S. money to buy weapons that are then used in the Occupied Territories and against Lebanon.”

(Frida Berrigan)

In short, the Bush Regime is paying for Israel’s brutal invasion of Lebanon — and American war profiteers are making piles of money. It is militarism as an economic system, what one might call “war capitalism” — which is, in reality, totally state-controlled and politically determined, as far from the system of free enterprises as a nation could possibly get ...

On the top you can see a young Israeli demonstrating against that bloody war against Lebanon... He was hauled off by the Israeli police ...

This is all so disgusting... All in all, that money just goes around, coming straight back to the pockets of all those big shots who had Bush elected a second time. They're true USA's administration nowadays.
And in the Middle East children are being bombed to death...
Sorry, Castor, but I feel too nauseated to go on.

The remaining problem is to find out who ever starts what. As long as guns are available for both sides, negociations will always be a lie, and no one is innocent. As money is doubtlessly much more important than anything else, I see no end to it...

Arms deal was always a good stroke of bloody business and the cause of arbitrariness, bloodshed and terror.
That what now goes on in Lebanon is nothing else than a new reason for resistance. The bitter tears of the children will dry, but they won't forget the bombing raids ... and so on ... and so on.

I don't like prejudices but in regard to this fact of the capitalism you are so right.
The USA are the richest country of our planet, but that doesn't mean that the majority of the citizens are rich and that all the Americans are blinded by the lying propaganda of their "potentates".

Under the viewpoint of the NAZI POTENTATES all their adversaries, the freedom fighters, the resistance fighters have been PARTISANS (guerrillas)... Don't forget this point, Ryan: Each war is terror and those who are bombing civilian population are terrorists, without exceptions. THERE IS NO JUST WAR ...

As you know, what you described in your post is the textbook definition of fascism. It looks as though the losers won, after all.

i agree totally on prdjudice. but i hate some of the things that 'america' does. yet, i also know that i have spent one of my nicest 2 years there and have made some wonderful friends who wll always be with me. so i do appreciate that everyone in america is not like that. which makes it all the more sad. what i do feel about a lot more americans than anyother place, though, and maybe thats situational, is that they seem almost very naiive, in some ways

If the losers won or are winning, I believe we all owe it to a political regime that insists on calling itself «democracy» but has, in fact, very little to do with democracy. In my viewpoint it's definitely a mixture of plutocracy and pornocracy, if words have any strength yet...

The so-called European fascism is dead, but the spectre of that fascism is still alive, well diguised in diverse costumes!

Here are some characteristics of fascism:

Capitalism, nationalism, militarism, xenophobia, overstimation of one's own capabilities, arrogance towards other nations and so on, and so on ...

You are right! And naivety and hypocrisy are always going together :-)
But a so-called clever administration needs a lot of starry-eyed citizens too ...
