PRMOD BAFNA

Today I should like to introduce to you
Prmod Bafna .

Prmod is a very talented young poet from India, whose poems I like a lot.

Here is one of them:

AS I WALK DOWN THE ROAD

As i walk down the road,
lost in a worldly jungle
of selfishness,
reflecting on life and this
world that was once ours.

Struck by the uneasy feeling
of reality,
sadness fills my heart,
looking at all the blinded people,
and thier effort called survival.

Having closed all the doors
around them,
but, the worldly one where
power, greed and indifference
bred and made merry.

Countless lives lost, the
remaining left grieving, survival
was but cheating death, which
lay at every corner, of
even the most dingy streets.

In combination to this touching text I want to publish one of my paintings, called "Pandemonion 1"

Yes I like his poems for they are so true!
About the painting: It's a pity, but the "bloggers-photo-machine" doesn't work at the moment ...

Hmmmm. Been looking at the picture for several minutes now. First the colors are awesome. I am curious. The naked boy in the foreground, or at least I have the feeling he is meant to be fully naked in this picture and judging by the look and WHERE the little dwarf guys eyes are looking I would assume he is naked LOL! Also that so many appear to be looking at this young man and yet he is looking at NONE of them. Curious as to your line of thought while painting it!

The naked young man in the foreground was me, 30 years ago :-), I painted myself by dint of 2 mirrors ...
With my nakedness I only wanted to express that I've nothing to hide, to mask, to conseal in front of other people ... I also wanted to express my vulnerability, my violableness but my freedom from fear too.

An older painting from your dark disturbed days eh? Interesting imagery. I find it very dark though.

Castor, i am really very glad and honoured that you found my work worthy of posting with your painting and introduction.. That painting is really very neat. And reading about its background makes it even more so. How very nicely you bring out the nakedness of it all and confront your freedom from fear is truly amazing. Thank you very much again! :)

No, this painting isn't a result of dark disturbed days, that was my entrance into the reality! I explained it in my comment to Prerona.

Sure, during the Vietnam War you certainly have been a little girl and the war wasn't going on in your homeland ... but when one is growing older, one should recognize that it isn't OK to close the eyes in front of the reality and that you should give to the others a reality check ... also today!
Disneyland is nice but the reality is different! I'll send to you now an email, I've got by Milenka, one of my Italian friends ...

:-) Hehe! I see you would think only of naked guys while machine gunning is going on around you :-) Take care! That could be very dangerous for your nice bum :-)!

With this picture I wanted to express my entrance into the world of the reality ... beforehand I have been very easy going ... At this time I recognized the senselessness of the Vietnam War which was going on at that time and which was a heavy war crime against any humanitarianism.

I was born at the end of the second World War in Austria which belonged to Nazi - Germany between 1938 -1945 and I learned to knew what the expression of "crime war" means, by my partents, the grand parents and at school. At that time I thought credulously that there will be nevermore any CRIME WAR but then started that cruel Vietnam War.

Yes I am an artist ... Go to my official website, there you can read (also in English) more about me, my work and you can see a lot of my pictures.

Quel idée, mon ami! But who should create it? Would you do this?
I think we need then a common "user" and a common "password"!
I should like to participate in any case in such an Art Blog!!! Great idea! Let me know how to do!!!
