Aged seventeen 2 ... MY FIRST BOYFRIEND WOLFGANG

His name was Wolfgang and he was one of my classmates in my new grade of school.
One day ... we had instruction in gymnastics ... he had forgotten apparently his gym shirt and so I could see the first time his nude chest with his bright nipples and a strange feeling turned me on. But that was all.

Two months later, it was at the beginning of November, our grade went for one excursion-week to Vienna (at that time I lived still in Graz, the second largest town in Austria) and I brimed over with enthusiasm for this town where I intended to go to the Academy of Arts after school leaving examination in the next year.

We lived in a youth hostel, ten minutes away from the next subway-station, altogether very comfortable.
The third day it was raining already in the morning and I was the only one of us who didn't keep an umbrella with him, but this fact made no odds to me, for at that time I liked to be "a lonely boy" like James Dean (who was then only five years dead ) and I put up my coat collar like James Dean on one of his photographs JIMMY ALONE IN THE RAINY NEW YORK ... but at once somebody streched his umbrella over me. It was Wolfgang.

I was overwhelmed with emotion ... I tried to dissemble my feelings ... but he put me over the edge when he asked me in a low voice: "May I go with you? "

That was the beginning of a deep friendship which lasted for nine years.

IN MY YOUNGER DAYS, AGED SEVENTEEN

This is my first nude selfportrait I made in front of the mirror. It's my first nude drawing at all. I never exhibited this sketch in public before (for it isn't technically perfect) ... but now here on my blog I want to show it because with this drawing began my artistic way.

It was a hot day in summer during the school vacation. I was alone at home, my parents were out with friends and I took the opportunity to make this drawing which I have decided to do already a long time ago. I had to wait for this moment being finally alone because my parents wouldn't have allowed me to pose nude in front of the mirror...

One year before I had seen the marvellous movie about the famous painter Vincent van Gogh with Kirk Douglas as Vincent and that was the trigger for me to become a painter and under "Vincent's influence" I made some portrait-sketches of my grandmother, of my mother and father and of my parent's friends and so on, but once I wanted really to make a nude study of a human being but the prudery of the society in Austria at that time was enorme and I was only seventeen years old and "well educated" ... and I knew very well that a decent fellow wouldn't pose nude in front of a mirror ... but I did it ... for I felt myself as an artist and although the "decent" people liked paintings like "flowers" and "still lives" and -"landscapes" they sneered privily the artists due to their debauched private life ... But me, I liked to look at my nude body and those "morally corrupted artists" and I wanted to be once one of them ...

When I started to draw myself nude in front of the mirror I got naturally a hard penis but because of the concentration "he" returned to his "chaste" size ... but afterwards I was so happy with my drawing, with myself and with my mirror image so that I've got an extraterrestrial orgasm and I jerked off and off and off having later a great problem to clean the mirror :-)) to dispunge the traces of my male lust :-))

THE SKETCH FOR MY NEXT PAINTING

Just now I finished the sketch for my new painting which I'll call "Two men" or "The painter and his model" ... last week, during my work in the hospital I've got the inspiration for this picture ... unexpected as an ispiration is coming up ... and now it's done and I have to go to bed ;-))

The literal signification:

The painter portraits his young friend who is looking into the mirror. But the mirror is the public who observes the two men and the scene.

"L'ANGELO INCARNATO", "THE INCARNATED ANGEL" by LEONARDO DA VINCI

The model for this drawing was one of Leonardo's pupils. Probably he was also a model for Leonardo's famous painting "MONA LISA" and other paintings...

crucifixion.Jpg Posted by Hello The wooden Crucifix executed for the Church of the Holy Spirit has recently been found; its identification was made possible thanks to some documents of the period which explain the way in which this work was carried out. In fact, the Crucifix now in the Casa Buonarotti (Florence), appears to have been carved by MICHELANGELO , taking as a model the body of a young man who died in the Monastery of the Holy Spirit. The wooden statue does indeed show an undisputably youthful anatomy, without any hint of more mature forms.

ABOUT THE NUDITY

"What spirit is so empty and blind, that it cannot recognize the fact that the foot is more noble than the shoe, and skin more beautiful that the garment with which it is clothed?"

( Michelangelo Buonarotti )

MichSlave2.Jpg Posted by Hello "Dying Captive" / marble / by Michelangelo/ executed in 1512 - 1513

The "Dying Captive" is particulary lovely, marvellously depicting the extreme weakness and exhaustion of the subject, in the languid flow of the line, which runs without a break through the whole body of the youth, like a harmonious note.

TO MY GANYMEDE

Coldness
is touching
my heart.
Tears turn into
ice.

There was a dream
and the dream has gone.
What have I done?

I cry now alone
in the dying sun
calling in vain
your beloved name,
but there is no reply ...

THE WORLD OF IDEAS

Myths / Archetyps / Fears and Inklings

All the basic elements necessary for the human capacity to experience and to understand are contained in the ancient myths.

Self-consideration, self-reflection, self-knowledge, fateful ensnarement and heroic stoicism are the base of all the myths.

Archetyps, the Greek synonym for pre-figurations are the universal basis of the structures of personality; they refer to the collective unconscious and the human capacity for imagination.

Across the way to the MOTHERS the way is leading to the myths, to the world of fantasy, which can open the door to ourselves.

(translated by JAMES SUTTON)

this is one of my texts I wrote for my official homepage www.hans-sfiligoi.com in 2001 and Jim was so kind to translate it into English for my update which is provided to be done soon.

My Ganymede-Model RYAN

When I was a little bit younger and when I still worked as a freelance artist I was abel to organize my time in my own discretion and I had a lot of friends who were my models too.
This time is up.
Since I work in an hospital as a masseur and as an Art-Terapist too I am very tired and exhausted when I get home and so I can continue my artistic work only during the weekends.

I didn't have a hand in the matter that I run across Joey's blog and then Jim's and Ryan's blog and and so on ... and at once I resided amongst a Round Table where I feel myself very comfortable.

There were some external circumstances which carried Ryan in unpleasent troubles and we all tried to support him.

Thank goodness Ryan feels better now and so I asked him if he will agree to be my virtual model for my new artistic project called "GANYMEDE".
Ryan agreed and so I'll eternize his youthful beauty and comelines in some drawings and paintings.

SUCH IS LIFE !
